Hi there and thanks for visiting.
My name is Nick Martin and I offer fully qualified
and certified electrical services to home owners,
landlords, builders and business in and around Loughborough.
I have worked with electrical systems for over 25 years.
Admittedly, 20 of those were Hercules Transporters and Tornado Fighters while
I was serving as an avionics engineer in the RAF - but it was all good practice
for when I decided to change direction, settling in Loughborough with Mrs.Nick
and our two daughters, where I studied for and passed the rigorous City and
Guilds Level 3 Certificate for Requirements in Electrical Installations: BS7671:
June 2001 before starting Beacon Electrical.
A Full Range of Services
From full rewires to new builds, repairs to refurbishments, I handle as many different types of works as there are different types of customer:
rewiring,
repairs, extensions, additional sockets, conservatories, lighting, updating,
inspections, certification, consumer unit upgrades - home owners, tenants,
landlords, builders, retail, office and industrial.
If you're having problems with your C130 Transporter, I could probably sort that too!
I offer free quotations - and as the saying goes; "no job is too big or too small" - except I'd add "to be done safely" at the end. So please call or email me with your enquiries:

The Latest Legislation and You
Building Regulations state that electrical work must be carried out by a competent person to standards set by the IET. Whilst many consider electrical work to be 'common sense' - the regulations were uprated in 2005 by the addition of 'Part P' to stem the many hundreds of injuries that result from improper and ill-considered electrical work by unqualified people.
As with gas fitters and installers, who have to be tested and registered with CORGI, electricians now have to be monitored and registered with ELECSA. After all, electricity can be just as deadly as gas - the IET Wiring Regulations are contained in a 2" thick book and require several hundred pounds worth of test equipment to implement.
This is why you need to use a ELECSA Registered Electrician (such as me) when you have any electrical work done - oh, that and the fact that your house insurance will probably be invalid should uncertified electrical work go wrong.
